An airport slot is required for all aircraft visiting a Greek airport, including Athens, Thessaloniki, and Heraklion
With the privatization of many Greek airports in the summer of 2017, the Hellenic Slot Coordination Authority requires all aircraft operating to Greece to request and obtain an airport slot via their handling agent. This is a separate assignment from Eurocontrol slots.
Operators will be provided with a slot ID number, which must be entered in the Remarks field (Field 18) of the aircraft flight plan. Deviations from the filed arrival time greater than 30 minutes will result in the cancellation of the slot privileges and the aircraft will likely receive a Flight Suspension notice from Eurocontrol.
Signature can assist in all necessary arrangements for aircraft operating to a Greek airport.
