Shannon International Airport is at the heart of the Region and, with direct flights from the UK, North America, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Sweden, it is the easiest way to reach it. The Region is approx. one and a half hours drive time from Cork Airport and ferry port and about three hours from Rosslare, Dun Laoghaire and Dublin ferryports. Kerry, Galway and Knock airports are other access options.
The Region has good rail connections and a network of uncrowded roads which are a pleasure for the motorist or cyclist.
