As President and Chief Operating Officer for Signature’s global operations, Sastre is responsible for the daily operations of Signature’s worldwide network of fixed base operations (FBOs) and maintenance centers. She is based in Orlando.
Prior to joining Signature, Sastre served with Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD where she held the positions of Vice President, International, Asia, Latin America & Caribbean, and Vice President of Hotel Operations during her eight year tenure. Her roles included strategic growth across emerging markets as well as managing all aspects of operations, new vessel launches and the guest experience onboard Royal Caribbean’s fleet of 22 vessels and private destinations. Sastre has held several professional affiliations including membership of the Board of Directors for Darden Restaurants, Laidlaw International, and Publix Supermarkets. She currently serves on the board of Guidewell Mutual Holding Corporation, the parent company of Florida Blue, as well as placement on numerous non-profit boards.
Previously, Sastre held roles as Vice President of Worldwide Customer Satisfaction for United Airlines, leading a newly created customer satisfaction division responsible for an integrated, industry-first travel experience for passengers from booking to landing, and as Vice President of Latin America, Caribbean and Miami, where she oversaw the successful launch of operations into new markets, including strategy development, airport operations, interactional call centers, marketing, sales, planning and financial performance. Preceding her time at United Airlines, she held various executive and leadership roles at Continental Airlines and Eastern Airlines.
Sastre formerly fulfilled the role of President & CEO of Take Stock in Children, a non-profit organization aiding at risk youth with mentoring and college access. Her education includes an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Miami Dade College, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, both from the New York Institute of Technology.
