Departure Slots Required at Washington Dulles
General aviation flight operating to Washington Dulles Int'l Airport will be required to secure a departure slot starting on Friday, January 20th at 0600L. Slot restrictions will be lifted on Sunday, January 22nd at 0000L. The number of slots available ranges from 4 to 24 per hour, with no slots available between 1700L through 1800L.
Signature Dulles is taking reservations for aircraft visiting Washington, D.C. for the presidential inauguration. Operators are encouraged to make reservations as early as possible to ensure slot availability. In addition to standard service fees, an event fee will be charged for all transactions from Tuesday, January 17th until Sunday, January 22nd.
Parking locations will be coincide with the length of the aircraft's turnaround, with remote parking on Runway 19R for aircraft staying more than one day.
TFR at Washington National
Washington National Airport will be subject to a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) on January 20th from 0900L until 1900L. General aviation operations will be prohibited between these hours.
General Aviation Access at Signature DCA
General aviation aircraft must be enrolled in the DC Access Standard Security Program (DASSP). You can learn more about the DASSP program via this link
. Aircraft visiting DCA from Tuesday, January 17th through Sunday, January 22nd will be subject to an event fee separately from the remainder of their service fees.
No Slot Restrictions at BWI
Baltimore Washington Thurgood Marshall Int'l Airport is outside of the TFR zone and will not be utilizing a slot system to regulate aircraft departures.
Signature Baltimore is a 45 minute drive from the Nation's Capital, and has ample ramp space to accommodate aircraft visiting for the inauguration. There is no slot restrictions for BWI, and no event fee will be levied.
