Things you should know about Montreal

1 Christmas in the Park: From the 2nd of December up to the Christmas Eve (24th),
  revel in Montreal's Parc Lahaie for a spectacular Christmas celebration in the Park,
  where you can buy Christmas trees, shop from the stalls, enjoy live music and
  watch the street entertainers perform.
2 Notre-Dame Basilica de Montreal: A basilica in the historic district of Old
  Montreal. Its Gothic Revival architecture is among the most dramatic in the world.
3 Mount Royal Park: Inaugurated in 1876, the park, which is considered as one of
  the city's largest greenspaces, is designed by the same person who did New York's
  Central Park - Frederick Law Olmsted.
4 Tour de la Bourse (Stock Exchange Tower): An International style skyscraper
  which is the third-tallest in the city. This 190-meter, 47-storey building houses the
  Montreal Exchange as well as the national and international law firm Fasken
  Martineau, amongst others.
5 Sport in Montreal: Ice hockey is the city's most popular sport. To note, the
  Montreal Canadiens (the city's professional hockey team) is one of the original six
  teams of the National Hockey League (NHL), and boasts a record of 24 Stanley
  Cup championships.
6 Kent Nagano & the Schubert Ninth: On the 5th and 6th of January 2011, witness
  a rich and varied choice of programs featuring carefully chosen international soloists,
  renowned conductors and an array of compositions that audiences adore.
7 Igloofest: January 13 to 29, 2010 - four electrifying nights to celebrate winter
  outdoors with music and DJs.
8 Werther, Massenet: On January 22, 26, 29, 31 and on February 3, 2011
  experience a romantic drama par excellence, based on a story written by
  one of the fathers of Romanticism, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. An opportunity to
  re-discover Massenet's masterpiece in its rare version for baritone.
9 And Then There Was Light: Until the 29th of December, catch the stunning light and
  sound show that tells the story of Montréal at the Basilica.

Formerly known as Montreal-Dorval, Trudeau is an international airport located in the city of Dorval, 12 miles from Montreal's downtown core. It is the busiest airport in the province of Quebec and third busiest airport in Canada, serving around 12 million passengers annually.
