Morristown Municipal Airport was established in 1929 and was originally home to the Country Aviation Club managed by the celebrated Clarence D. Chamberlin, who after Charles A. Lindbergh was the second person to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. Today it is the second-busiest general aviation airport in New Jersey and acts as a gateway to New York City situated only 27 miles / 43 kilometers away. |
