What's on in Edmonton

Edmonton, the capital of the Canadian province of Alberta, is a cultural, governmental and educational center. It is known as Canada's Festival City, with over 30 annual gatherings, including North America's largest alternative theatre event. Edmonton is a tourism hot spot, boasting North America's largest mall and Canada's largest living history museum. It is also a haven for summer and winter activities, with 17 hours of daylight in mid-summer and the magical Northern Lights in peak winter.

  6. Art Gallery of Alberta: Having undergone a dramatic exterior design upgrade which has attracted national attention, this Museum of Art includes a gallery shop, 150-seat theatre and an espresso bar and restaurant offering stunning views of Edmonton's eclectic downtown.

  7. Edmonton River Valley: Walk along the North Saskatchewan River on one of the numerous park trails and take in nature at its finest. This is one of the largest urban stretches of river valley parkland in North America, so there is plenty to enjoy.
